Own a share in a C42 Ikarus World record holder for speed and distance. The Ikarus C42 is a state of the art, high-tech ultralight aircraft, developed in Germany by the COMCO-IKARUS company. The Ikarus C42 offers a unique combination of innovative technology and simplicity, creating unequalled value and performance in a personal recreational aircraft. Combining the best of traditional aircraft design and modern materials the airframe is of aircraft-grade aluminium with a composite cabin and fuselage shell. High strength Kevlar/Mylar/Polyester laminate covers all of the flying surfaces. The Ikarus C42's light wing loading and high lift flaps make for safe approach speeds and remarkably easy landings. The comfortable cabin is wider than a Cessna 182 and ergonomically designed for ease of pilot/passenger access through dual clamshell doors. The Scottish Flying Club's machine, which we are now offering shares in, is registered G-SJEN. It is fitted with a Microair panel mounted radio, a Mode A/C transponder, a Lynx intercom system and an Icom airband radio.
