Extended Flying Experience THE Extended Flying Experience, at £189, is suitable for someone who has never flown before, but is mainly aimed at someone who might have been up for a short flight before and wants a really extensive experience. Or perhaps they have might have flown in something else like a glider or a weightshift microlight, have decided they want to learn to fly and want to check out our C42 Ikarus, the sports car of the skies. Usually we will fly across country to another airfield, such as Cumbernauld or Glenrothes, and land. The choice is yours, subject to weather conditions. Then you can see if you can navigate back home to Strathaven Airfield! In total, we'll spend about 80 minutes in the air, with you at the controls for most of the time if you wish. As with all our gift voucher flights, if this flying lesson gets you get hooked then the time in the air will count towards the minimum 25 flight training hours required to gain your NPPL private pilot's licence.
