Flying lessons at Strathaven, near Prestwick Flying from a traditional grass airfield is a unique experience. Unlike busier commercial airports, where public access is often difficult and restricted, we aim for a true family atmosphere where everyone can "get up close" to share a memorable experience and take great photographs. Our smaller size also gives a more intimate experience, and means less time wasted taxying around and more time flying! For the family, we also have a comfortable picnic area, airfield walk and often a chance to tour the hangars as well. Our latest addition is a vintage biplane climbing frame - popular with pilots of all ages! We offer a full range of flying experiences, which you can read all about using the menu buttons on the left Our Flypast gives a short taste of flight, our One Hour Experience is our most popular gift voucher and is long enough to give time for you to take control and have a go at flying the aircraft and our Extended Flight means we can cover a greater distance and perhaps even land at another airfield before returning to Strathaven.
